Day 1 - Chennai - Copenhagen
Board your flight
to Copenhagen. After clearing the necessary customs and immigration,
board your flight to the capital of Denmark - a beautiful city of canals,
lakes, castles, palaces and parks. On arrival you board the coach and
transfer to the city, for your guided panoramic tour of Copenhagen: see
the famous Tivoli Gardens amusement park, the Ny Carlsberg
Glyptotek and the Royal Theatre - famous for its Ballet. The tour
continues past the colourful harbour district of Nyhavn and
Amalienborg Palace - the winter residence of the Royal family. This is
followed by a visit to the Gefion Fountain and The Little Mermaid
guarding the harbour - the statue inspired by Hans Christian Anderson's
fairy tale. Later check into your hotel for an overnight stay. (Dinner)
Day 2 - Copenhagen - Stockholm
Today, your journey takes you to Sweden. Enroute pass Hamlet's
Castle and Jonkoping, the town of matchstick making, sewing
machines and waxworks. Proceed through meadows and forests to
Granna, at the head of Lake Vattern, and on to Stockholm, one of
Europe's most attractive capital cities. Stockholm is built on 14
islands, where Lake Malaren's water meets the Baltic, and the
cobbled streets and medieval buildings of the 'Gamla Stan' (the Old
Town) contrast with today's ultra-modern city centre. On arrival you
check into your hotel for a two night stay. Evening is as leisure.

Day 3 - Stockholm
Discover the charms of this proud city on your morning guided
panoramic tour, highlighting the Royal Palace and a visit to the
Stadshuset (City Hall) in its beautiful waterside location. Later enjoy
a canal cruise, which takes you along the historical network of canals
that intersect the city's fourteen islands - probably one of the best
ways to see the city and its most impressive buildings, taking in the
Kungsholmen, Langholmen and Reimersholmen. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4 - Stockholm - Oslo
This morning after breakfast, you travel from Stockholm to Oslo the
capital city of Norway, located in the heart of the country and
bounded by the fjord and the forested hills. Oslo, the Viking Capital
is set at the head of the Oslofjord. and is a compact city with shops,
theatres and restaurants within walking distance of each other. On
arrival you check into your hotel for two nights. The evening is as
leisure. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 5 - Oslo
Today enjoy a guided panoramic tour of Oslo: admire some of the
most beautiful and important monuments and places in Oslo. See the City Hall, the Royal Palace, Holmenkollen Ski Jump for a
wonderful panoramic view of the fjord and Viegland's Sculpture
Park. We continue onto see the Viking Ships Museum. Evening at
leisure. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 6 - Train Journey: Oslo to Voss
This morning you check out of the hotel and proceed to the train
station to board our train to Voss. The journey takes you over the
Haukelidreind, the mountains which form the spine of Norway and
dip down from their snow covered peaks to the mightly fjords. On
arrival you check into your hotel for a two night stay.

Day 7 - Flaam Railway and Sognefjord - Voss
After breakfast, we depart for a full day excursion on the Flaam
Railway. The day begins from Voss with a drive past the stunning
Tvindevoss waterfall and up the loop road to the Stalheim Canyon
- a breathtaking sight. Continue to Flaam, which until recently was
cut off from the outside world except by train or boat. At the foot
of the mountains, you can enjoy the natural beauty of the Flaam
Valley and admire the majestic Aurlandfjord, a branch of
Sognefjord, Norway's longest fjord and the second longest in the
world - see the mighty ocean liners which come up to the shore
of Norway's biggest fjord. Our train journey begins from Flaam,
and starts its ascent from sea level to Myrdal, from shore to mighty
mountain. See Norway's wildest and most magnificent scenery on
the 20 km-long train ride, including rivers that cut through deep
ravines and waterfalls cascading down the sides of the steep,
snow-capped mountains - see the fantastic waterfall at Kjosfossen.
At Myrdal rejoin the main line and see where Scott did his training
for the Antarctic expeditions. This evening enjoy the Folklore
Evening in Voss where you can see the traditional Norwegian
costumes and enjoy the entertainment. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 8 - Voss - Bergen - Chennai
Early this morning, you transfer to Bergen. Sitting in the embrace
of its seven mountains and latticed by fjords, this charming
Hanseatic harbour town is a delight. On your guided panoramic tour
see Bryggen, the medieval quayside (UNESCO protected), and
Troldhaugen, Edvard Grieg's home. The view from the top of Mount
Floyen is truly breathtaking (time permitting). See the world
famous Hyttigrutten ships which leave every night bound for the
North Cape bringing goods, passengers and even post. Later we
transfer to the airport for the return flight to chennai. On arrival we
clear customs and immigration, where the tour ends and it is time
to say farewell to all the friends you have made on tour.
